Our Shine Spine™ LST Dual-Mount Tactical Canopy Control Hooks provide a gentle, highly effective plant training technique used primarily to reshape the plant's structure without causing significant stress. Unlike High-Stress methods (HST) that involve cutting or breaking tissue, LST relies on bending and securing a flat, even canopy. This maximizes light penetration to lower bud sites, improves airflow, encourages more colas (flowering tops), and ultimately boost yields-often dramatically limited spaces like grow tents.

Why Low Stress Training (LST) Works (The Science)

Plants exhibit apical dominance: The main top cola (apex) produces hormones (auxins) that suppress growth in lower branches. By gently bending the main stem and taller branches down and outward, you "break" this dominance without removing anything. The plant responds by redirecting energy to multiple lower branches, turning them into new tops. Over time, this creates a wide, bushy, level canopy where neatly every bud site gets direct light instead of just the top one.
